Clearing Out the Cobwebs in the Mental Attic

Alright, I’m slowly awakening from my summertime post Just-For-Laughs slumber and as much as it’s been nice relaxing for a while and doing things normal guys do in the summer (namely golfing and drinking beer) I’m ready to ramp things up again…soon.

But first, time to take a little stock of where things are at and where I hope they’ll be going very soon.

Immediately after Just For Laughs, I was offered the hosting gig on the JFL National Tour. It’s been a goal of mine for a while now to do this, but unfortunately the offer didn’t come at the right time. I was already booked for several shows during the JFL tour and had to turn it down.

The other offer I received after the festival, which I had some talks with beforehand, was to write for a national animation project. It’s a very cool idea with an amazing animation aspect to it and my work on the pilot will begin this week. As with everything, there are no guarantees the pilot will be picked up, but the professionalism of this company (who will remain nameless for now) leads me to believe there’s a damn good shot!

And finally, there are tv and theatre projects in development, which I hope to finally finalize soon.

Now, if you’ll all excuse me, I’ve got to get the funny bones boning again and get to work on this animation thing. More soonJ

    Hi Steve,

Just wanted to let you know how great the show was at Dominion Chalmers Church in Ottawa. You certainly stole the show. Yeah, the others were good too!

Look forward to seeing you at Centrepoint.

    Thank you for the autograph.
